On 3 September 2026, China Mobile announced that, beginning with the 2026 interim dividend, all dividends will be denominated and declared in Renminbi (RMB). Shareholders holding the company’s Hong Kong–listed shares may choose to receive the payout either in RMB or Hong Kong dollars (HKD).
By default, the interim dividend will be paid in HKD. Investors who prefer RMB must submit a completed Dividend Currency Election Form to Computershare Hong Kong Investor Services Limited no later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday, 18 September 2026. Failure to return the form by the stated deadline will result in automatic receipt of the dividend in HKD.
China Mobile stated that the change is designed to “further optimize shareholder return arrangements” and to accommodate different currency preferences among its investor base.
Enquiries regarding the currency election process can be directed to the registrar at +852 2862 8688 or via email at ChinaMobile.ecom@computershare.com.hk during business hours (9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, excluding Hong Kong public holidays).
