Gala Technology Holding (GALA TECH HOLD) reported strong interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2026, powered by record performances from its flagship titles “Total Football” and “NBA Rivals” and a surge in user engagement during the FIFA World Cup.

Revenue rose 25.7 % year-on-year to RMB 590.42 million, while gross profit expanded 32.8 % to RMB 315.53 million. Gross margin improved to 53.4 % from 50.6 % a year earlier. Profit before tax more than doubled to RMB 144.43 million, and net profit jumped 165.4 % to RMB 142.58 million.

Management attributed the topline acceleration to World Cup-driven traffic and “systematic operating capabilities” across football, basketball and baseball game franchises: • “Total Football” leveraged World Cup content to post record gross billings. • “NBA Rivals” surpassed RMB 500 million in cumulative gross billings and 10 million registered users. • “Clutch Hit Baseball” recorded a 36 % year-on-year increase in new users and triple-digit gross-billing growth in Taiwan.

Selling and marketing expenses more than doubled (+122 % to RMB 151.34 million) as the group intensified World Cup promotions, while R&D spending eased 8.1 % to RMB 77.49 million due to efficiency gains from AI tools. General and administrative costs increased 14.6 % to RMB 26.31 million.

The balance sheet remains debt-free, with cash and equivalents at RMB 481.55 million and a current ratio of 2.4 times. Gearing stood at 0.04 times. Net current assets reached RMB 452.81 million.

Investment gains contributed RMB 76.79 million, mainly from unrealised and realised profits on listed equities, notably a stake in Micron Technology valued at RMB 62.05 million (6.7 % of total assets). Capital commitments totalled RMB 1.24 million, and no material acquisitions or disposals were recorded.

The board declared no interim dividend, citing planned investment in new titles and overseas marketing. Looking to 2H-2026, Gala Technology will expand “Total Football” into North America, Latin America and the Middle East, launch a PC beta, and pursue further global rollout of “NBA Rivals” and “Clutch Hit Baseball.” New casual projects and additional AI-driven content generation initiatives are also under development.

There were no significant post-period events affecting the results, other than routine share repurchases under existing award schemes and a July disposal of a portion of the Micron Technology stake.
