HUAYAN ROBOTICS (01021) saw its share price surge more than 27% before the midday break, with the stock last trading at HK$12.06, up 27.42%, and recording a turnover of HK$61.1023 million.

On September 7, the company's shares were officially added to the Hong Kong Stock Connect scheme, allowing mainland Chinese investors to trade the stock through the Shanghai-Hong Kong and Shenzhen-Hong Kong connections. The inclusion simultaneously took effect alongside its addition to the Hang Seng Composite Index as a constituent stock.

The company stands out as the only platform-based robotics enterprise among this round of newly connected stocks to integrate complete collaborative robot systems, core motion components for embodied intelligence, and precision motion platforms.

According to a recent research report from BOCOM International, HUAYAN ROBOTICS is not simply a single-product collaborative robot manufacturer, as commonly perceived by the market. Rather, it has evolved into a platform-driven robotics firm, anchored by collaborative robots as its revenue scale foundation, with core motion components and motion control capabilities serving as its primary growth drivers. This discrepancy represents one of the largest current market expectation gaps.

The report projects a compound annual revenue growth rate of approximately 51% for the company from 2026 to 2028, with core motion components expected to increase their revenue contribution from 25.6% in 2025 to around 40% by 2027-28. Additionally, the firm is anticipated to achieve profitability on a net-profit-attributable basis by 2026.
