VESON HLDG (01399) has released its interim results for the 2026 fiscal year, showcasing a notable financial recovery. The group achieved a turnover of RMB 2.763 billion, marking a 16.1% increase year-on-year. More significantly, the company recorded a profit attributable to owners of RMB 21.328 million for the period, successfully reversing the net loss from the same period last year. The earnings per share stood at RMB 1.96 cents.
According to the official announcement, the group's ODM product lines demonstrated varied performance during the review period. The mobile phone battery segment remained the primary engine of growth, with revenue surging by 27.6% to RMB 1.817 billion. This segment's share of total sales expanded from 59.8% last year to 65.8%, reflecting sustained demand and the group's robust positioning in this particular market.
In stark contrast, the tablet battery segment experienced a substantial decline, with revenue dropping by 29.3% to RMB 340 million. Its sales contribution correspondingly fell from 20.2% to 12.3%. This contraction highlights both weak consumer demand and the increasingly competitive landscape within the tablet market.
The notebook battery division saw modest growth, with revenue increasing by 11.7% to RMB 113 million, maintaining a stable 4.1% share of total sales. While this segment remains relatively small in scale, it continues to provide a steady supplementary income stream.
Meanwhile, the power bank category delivered a stellar performance, with revenue skyrocketing by 62.6% to RMB 116 million. Its sales share rose from 3.0% to 4.2%, underscoring the growing adoption of portable charging solutions among consumers and presenting further expansion opportunities. Other emerging power product lines maintained roughly stable revenue at RMB 112 million, serving primarily as auxiliary offerings with limited impact on overall performance.
Overall, the ODM business has shown remarkable resilience, with strong growth in mobile phone batteries and power banks effectively offsetting the sluggish performance of tablet batteries. The group intends to continue capitalizing on its high-growth product categories while strategically reassessing underperforming segments, aiming to maintain a balanced product portfolio for the remainder of the fiscal year.
