UOB names new independent director

United Overseas Bank Limited (UOB) said on Sep, 1 2026 that Jill Lee Ghim Ha will become an Independent and Non-executive Director and a member of the bank’s Audit Committee with effect from Oct, 1 2026.

Jill Lee, 63, has held senior finance, strategy and transformation roles in China, Germany and Switzerland, including Group Chief Financial Officer of Sulzer and regional Chief Financial Officer positions at Siemens and ABB.

She is currently a director of Schneider Electric, StarHub, JTC Corporation, PSA International and 65 Equity Partners, and serves on the board of governors of the Institute of Technical Education and the management board of the NUS Institute of System Science.

Following her appointment, the UOB board will comprise Wong Kan Seng (Chairman), Wee Ee Cheong, Michael Lien Jown Leam, Wee Ee Lim, Steven Phan Swee Kim, Chia Tai Tee, Tracey Woon Kim Hong, Dinh Ba Thanh, Teo Lay Lim, Ong Chong Tee and Jill Lee Ghim Ha.

The Audit Committee will consist of Ong Chong Tee (Chairman), Wong Kan Seng, Steven Phan Swee Kim, Chia Tai Tee, Tracey Woon Kim Hong and Jill Lee Ghim Ha.
