Cisen Pharmaceutical's subsidiary secures China's first generic approval for eye drop therapy

Cisen Pharmaceutical Co.,Ltd. (SH: 603367) has announced that its subsidiary, Shandong Cisen Fodu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., has received the Drug Registration Certificate from China's National Medical Products Administration for loteprednol etabonate and tobramycin eye drops.

The eye drops, classified as a Category 4 chemical drug, are designed to treat steroid-responsive ocular inflammation along with concurrent or potential bacterial infections of the eye surface. Fodu Pharmaceutical's initial registration application for loteprednol etabonate and tobramycin eye drops was accepted in 2025.

This approval marks the first generic version of the drug to be launched in the domestic Chinese market.
