Haimen's fig cultivation base, a newly established specialty fruit project for 2026, is located in Mitang Mountain within Haimen Village. The site benefits from a prime geographic position and a pristine ecological environment, leveraging the area's high-quality soil and favorable climate to lay a solid foundation for robust fig growth and consistent yield increases.
The base completed its large-scale planting layout in March 2026, covering approximately 235 mu in total. Four premium fig varieties were selected for cultivation: Stella, Grace, Banane, and Dream. The mixed planting of multiple excellent varieties not only enriches the product range but also effectively mitigates the risks associated with single-crop farming, thereby enhancing the base's overall planting efficiency and market competitiveness.
Regarding the harvest cycle, figs at the base begin to ripen gradually from late August each year, entering an initial picking stage that supports limited picking and sales. After September 15, the fruit reaches its peak ripening period, allowing for bulk fresh fruit supply to hit the market, precisely aligning with autumn fresh fruit demand and seizing the optimal sales window.
In terms of sales strategy, the base currently operates a fully online sales model, leveraging digital platforms to broaden its market reach. This approach delivers fresh, high-quality figs to consumers across various regions while streamlining distribution channels to maximize fruit freshness and ensure a superior eating experience.
On the production front, the base's fig output is on a steady upward trajectory year over year, promising stable and reliable returns. In the first planting year, the per-mu yield stands at approximately 700 kilograms. With standardized field management, branch pruning, and optimized water and fertilizer practices, the yield can rise to 1,400 kilograms per mu in the second year. By the third year, when entering the full production phase, output can reach 2,100 kilograms per mu. This clear, incremental yield growth pattern underscores the project's vast planting potential, positioning it as a high-quality initiative for upgrading local specialty agriculture and boosting efficiency.
