South Korea's KOSPI Surges 4% as Chip Stocks Rally

South Korea's benchmark KOSPI index climbed 4% to close at 6,956.73, marking a strong session for the country's equities market.
The rally was largely driven by continued momentum in the semiconductor sector. Samsung Electronics extended its gains, rising 5.1% to trade at 268,500 Korean won.
Meanwhile, SK Hynix also maintained its upward trajectory, with shares advancing 7.5% to reach 1.77 million Korean won.
