Starting September 1st, the city of Xingtai will broaden its consumer goods trade-in initiative, adding ten new categories of smart home appliances, household items, and digital devices to the existing subsidy framework, as part of the provincial policy rollout for Hebei Province.
According to the Municipal Commerce Bureau, the newly included products span a wide range of intelligent technologies. These additions feature smart headphones, smart toilets and smart toilet seats, robot vacuums and smart floor washers, smart massage chairs, and smart security devices—which include smart locks, cameras, and video doorbells. The list also covers smart dishwashers, embodied AI robots (including companion robots, robotic dogs, and exoskeleton suits), smart range hoods, smart gas stoves (including integrated cooktops), and smart water purifiers and dispensers. Notably, this category also encompasses products designed for senior-friendly living environments.
The subsidy rate for these items will be set at 15% of the final retail price after all applicable discounts have been applied. Individual product subsidies are capped at 500 yuan for smart headphones, while all other items in this group have a maximum subsidy limit of 1,500 yuan per unit. To qualify, these ten smart product types (including senior-friendly models) must possess a unified national standard commodity barcode and a product serial number (S/N code). Additionally, any items carrying energy or water efficiency ratings must meet the top-tier Grade 1 efficiency standard.
Existing subsidy categories and rates for previously covered home appliances and digital products will remain unchanged. Individual consumers can obtain the appropriate subsidy vouchers through channels such as the UnionPay app (Yun Shan Fu). Within the calendar year 2026, each consumer is limited to one voucher per specific sub-category. Monthly subsidy funds will be managed under a cap system, distributed on a first-come, first-served basis until the allocated budget is exhausted.
