Zhongyu Energy Holdings Limited disclosed that it repurchased 500,000 ordinary shares on 7 September 2026 through on-exchange transactions at prices ranging between HKD 2.635 and HKD 2.695 per share, for a volume-weighted average consideration of HKD 2.679 per share. The aggregate cash outlay was HKD 1.34 million.
Post-transaction, the company’s total issued share capital remains unchanged at 2.75 billion shares. However, the number of treasury shares rose to 54.54 million, while the issued share count (excluding treasury shares) declined marginally to 2.69 billion, representing a 0.0186% reduction from the previous level.
The purchase formed part of the repurchase mandate approved on 26 June 2026, which authorises Zhongyu Energy to buy back up to 270.56 million shares. Cumulative repurchases under this mandate now stand at 11.84 million shares, equivalent to 0.44% of the company’s issued shares at the time the mandate was granted.
All repurchased shares to date, including the latest 500,000 shares, are being held as treasury shares. In accordance with Hong Kong Stock Exchange regulations, Zhongyu Energy is subject to a moratorium prohibiting any new share issues or sales of treasury shares until 7 October 2026.
