As Mojiang County advances its comprehensive urban and rural sewage and solid waste management initiative, the region's capacity for waste collection and disposal has seen steady improvement. The county-level sorting center operated by Mojiang County Renewable Resource Recycling Co., Ltd. is now operating at full capacity, with processing lines running continuously to support the initiative's push for greater efficiency and effectiveness.

At the company's county-level sorting center, trucks loaded with assorted scrap materials enter the facility in an orderly manner. Staff members use an information management system to handle the entire process, including weighing, data registration, ledger entry, and warehousing. Every step leaves a digital record, with data uploaded in real time and documents generated automatically, replacing the traditional manual management approach with a more standardized, precise, and efficient system.

Wen Yajie, an administrator at Mojiang County Renewable Resource Recycling Co., Ltd., highlighted the benefits of the new system, stating, "The company has fully adopted an information management system for precise computer-based control of all recycled goods. From inbound and outbound operations to document issuance, everything is processed through the system. Data is accessible in real time, and documents are traceable, which has greatly reduced the errors and time associated with manual entry and paperwork."

Once items are logged into the warehouse, a series of processes unfolds, including manual sorting, intelligent classification, compaction, and standardized packaging. Scrap cardboard, plastics, metals, and other waste materials are methodically transformed into uniform products ready for reuse, achieving resourceful, harmless, and intensive treatment of waste and giving discarded materials renewed value.

Wen Yajie further detailed the company's operational capabilities, noting, "We rely on machinery to ensure processing capacity, paired with the information system for precise warehouse control. Daily, we recover approximately 8 tons of iron, 7 tons of paper, and 5 tons of plastic. Our baler can package up to 5 tons per hour, while equipment like the gantry shear handles 3 tons of iron per hour. Paper and plastic are sorted, baled, and sold, while iron is cut and then marketed."

The county-level sorting center, established in November 2025 on a trial basis, is equipped with comprehensive hardware and operates under a mature model. As part of the county-wide waste management effort, the enterprise focuses on standardizing the classification and recycling of scrap metals, plastics, agricultural film, and various packaging materials. This significantly reduces the volume of domestic waste in the county, contributing to improved ecological conditions and a better living environment.

Gao Jun, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Supervision Committee at the Mojiang County Supply and Marketing Cooperative Union, outlined future plans, saying, "Next, we will continue to advance the construction of township transfer stations and village-level recycling points, establish a countywide information platform for renewable resource recycling, broaden collection channels, strengthen operational management, and increase the volume of materials recovered. Our goal is to build an integrated county, township, and village three-tier recycling system that continues to support the county's waste management and green, low-carbon development."
