Data from the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, as of September 4, shows that the top three stocks by outstanding short position ratio are Midea Group (00300), WuXi AppTec (02359), and CATL (03750), with short ratios of 19.69%, 18.74%, and 17.15%, respectively.

The largest absolute increases in short position ratios compared to the previous reporting period were seen in Shandong Gold Mining (01787), Foshan Haitian Flavouring and Food (03288), and XtalPi Holdings (02228), which rose by 2.00%, 1.87%, and 1.65%, respectively. Conversely, the largest declines in absolute short position ratios were recorded for Kingdee International Software Group (00268), GCL Technology Holdings (03800), and Cathay Pacific Airways (00293), which fell by -5.75%, -4.01%, and -3.21%, respectively.
