A major milestone was achieved in Quzhou's low-altitude economy sector on September 3rd, with the grand completion ceremony of the Quzhou Hongpeng Aviation Power Intelligent Manufacturing Base held in the Donggang area of the Smart Manufacturing New City.

This new base addresses a critical gap in the city's aviation power manufacturing capabilities, injecting substantial momentum into the growth of Quzhou's low-altitude economy industry. The total investment in the project stands at approximately 650 million yuan, with fixed asset investment of around 470 million yuan, and it is being developed in two phases. Once fully operational, the facility will have an annual production capacity of 8,000 aviation piston engines. The first phase, upon complete commissioning, is expected to produce 100 heavy-fuel piston engines D160/D180, 400 gasoline piston engines G150 series, and 3,000 small gasoline piston engines G40 series annually.

Founded in August 2020, Hongpeng Aviation is a high-tech enterprise dedicated to the research, development, manufacturing, sales, and maintenance of general aviation power devices. The company strategically focuses on three main product lines: piston engines, turboprop engines, and aviation hybrid power systems, holding over 40 related patents. Its flagship product, the D160 heavy-fuel piston engine, stands as the only model in China to have achieved EASA airworthiness certification and entered mass production.

"After evaluating industrial parks in several regions, we ultimately chose Quzhou's Smart Manufacturing New City. Our decision was influenced not only by the mature talent support available but also by the first-class business environment and the strategic vision for developing the low-altitude economy here," explained Huang Jinlong, head of the Quzhou Hongpeng Aviation Power Intelligent Manufacturing Base. "From the registration of the trading company and the facilitation of fund financing to factory renovations and land-use approvals, the Smart Manufacturing New City provided full-process support and proactive service, addressing our urgent business needs. This efficiency resolved numerous challenges we faced in taking on orders and launching production, strengthening our confidence to establish deep roots in Quzhou and expand our operations."

Since the project's signing, departments such as the Investment Promotion Department of the Smart Manufacturing New City and the Comprehensive Bonded Zone Service Promotion Center have been proactive in their support, continuously optimizing the business environment and accelerating project progress. When the enterprise urgently needed to secure foreign trade orders after signing, relevant departments completed the registration and site leasing for Quzhou Junk Air Trade Co., Ltd. in just three days. They also facilitated the smooth acquisition of the company's first fund financing, efficiently finalized the factory lease plan, and ensured the swift commencement of construction. Additionally, in response to the company's need to purchase factory buildings, multiple departments coordinated to expedite the listing and approval process for the land parcel with existing structures.

"The project is now in operation, and we plan to complete the production and delivery of 4,000 small piston gasoline engines and 1,500 small turbojet engines this year, aiming for an output value of 220 million yuan," Huang Jinlong stated. The company will actively integrate into Quzhou's broader low-altitude economy strategy, leveraging its technological and production capacity advantages to contribute to the city's cultivation of new productive forces and the expansion of its low-altitude industry cluster.
