Fuel Prices Set to Rise at Midnight: Per-Tonne Gasoline and Diesel Standard Product Adjustments Confirmed at 260 and 250 Yuan Respectively

Following the adjustment of domestic refined oil product prices on August 28, escalating tensions in the US-Iran conflict have driven a sustained surge in international crude oil prices, with prices for Middle Eastern crude experiencing another notable spike. To mitigate the impact of rising global oil costs on the domestic economy and ensure stable economic operations and social welfare, temporary control measures for domestic refined oil product pricing have been implemented within the framework of the existing pricing mechanism.

Calculations based on the current pricing mechanism indicate that, for September 11, the per-tonne standard product prices for domestic gasoline and diesel should rise by 435 yuan and 420 yuan, respectively. However, after applying the regulatory controls, the actual increases will be limited to 260 yuan and 250 yuan per tonne. The National Development and Reform Commission will guide refined oil production and sales enterprises to fully ensure production and transportation, thereby securing market supply stability. Additionally, it will collaborate with relevant authorities to intensify market oversight and inspection efforts, strictly penalizing illegal activities such as failure to comply with national pricing policies, so as to effectively maintain market order and protect consumer interests.
