Since the start of 2026, the District Commerce and Investment Promotion Bureau has focused on the development needs of counterpart assistance regions such as Gansu and Qinghai. By broadening sales channels, refining long-term mechanisms, and deepening multi-party collaboration, the bureau has steadily advanced consumption assistance work. These efforts have helped distinctive agricultural products from these western regions move beyond their origins and enter the Binhai New Area market, using consumption as a powerful tool to drive rural revitalization and foster mutual development through collaboration. To date, the region has completed a total consumption assistance volume of 100 million yuan, with the quality and efficiency of east-west cooperation continuously improving.

On the production-supply matching front, the bureau has targeted key consumption periods like the Spring Festival and May Day holidays. It has organized over 20 major commercial enterprises in the region to conduct multiple agricultural product exhibition and promotion events. These activities heavily promote quality western specialty products such as "Gan Wei" and "Yumen Zhen Hao", deepening regional cooperation and smoothing the circulation channels for agricultural products. Concurrently, the bureau has normalized the entry of agricultural products from assistance areas into government offices, campuses, and supermarkets. By establishing dedicated consumption assistance counters and pavilions, it has built stable supply and marketing channels, ensuring the regular presence of western agricultural products in the new area’s market. Currently, over 300 types of western specialty agricultural products are available in the area's supermarkets and institutional canteens, achieving cumulative sales exceeding 3 million yuan and continuously boosting the local recognition and market competitiveness of these western products.

The District Commerce and Investment Promotion Bureau is also capitalizing on the integration of cultural tourism and dining to innovate assistance models and enrich collaborative content. Recently, the "Tianjin-Gansu Culinary Fusion: Inheriting Cooking Skills" event featuring the intangible cultural heritage "Thirteen Blossoms" fusion cuisine of Zhangjiachuan Hui Autonomous County was held at the National Museum of Marine Science and Technology. This created a platform for culinary skill exchange between Tianjin and Gansu. The event also included a food tasting session and showcased a promotional video on the Zhangjiachuan red flower cattle industry. Through a "dining plus cultural tourism" model, it comprehensively displayed the local customs, culture, and specialty industries of the assistance areas, further broadening the scope of assistance and deepening collaborative bonds. In early September, leveraging the supply and marketing system, the new area organized a special agricultural product exhibition that focused on promoting premium items like Yumen cantaloupe. The live event sold over 500 kilograms of melon products, demonstrating the effectiveness of targeted exhibition sales in enhancing farmers' income.

To address the shortcomings of short-term promotions and fragmented assistance, the new area, relying on its advantageous port and logistics industry, is actively creating a "supply chain plus consumption" assistance model. It has partnered with Gangqiang Group and logistics enterprises under the district’s supply and marketing cooperative to establish a comprehensive logistics service system encompassing cold-chain storage, professional transport, and precise distribution. This has effectively enhanced the stability of meat product supply from western regions and significantly reduced circulation and operational costs. As a result, the cost of selling some western meat products in Tianjin has decreased by 10%, greatly improving their market competitiveness. Furthermore, the new area is intensifying collaboration between government, enterprises, and supply entities to cultivate a normalized, market-driven assistance engine. Leveraging regional corporate resources, it routinely conducts precise production-supply matching, disseminating procurement information and collecting purchase intentions to foster stable, long-term supply relationships. For instance, Shengshi Baicao in the high-tech zone has cumulatively purchased nearly 50 million yuan worth of traditional Chinese medicinal herbs from various locations in Gansu, providing substantial support for local industrial growth and increased farmer income.

Additionally, the district's supply and marketing cooperative plans to sign a production-sales cooperation framework agreement with its counterpart in Yumen City. Building on the "Yumen Zhen Hao" brand, they aim to establish direct-sale stores for Yumen agricultural products and create an integrated assistance model of "origin collective procurement – direct supply and direct sales – brand empowerment". This is intended to promote the standardized and long-term development of Tianjin-Yumen supply and marketing cooperation. To ensure the orderly and sustained implementation of consumption assistance, the bureau persists in systematic planning and coordinated advancement. It adheres to a "one game" philosophy for region-wide assistance, encouraging collaboration among various committees, development zones, and townships to create a synergistic work structure with shared responsibilities. Upholding the principles of "not relaxing support after poverty alleviation and not shirking responsibility after shedding the poverty label", it continuously optimizes resource integration and supporting services, addresses work deficiencies, and refines working mechanisms to comprehensively elevate the standardization level of consumption assistance.

Looking ahead, the District Commerce and Investment Promotion Bureau will further consolidate the gains of consumption assistance. It plans to strengthen overall coordination and pool assistance resources, delve deeper into production-supply matching, broaden sales pathways, and enhance the cold-chain supply and brand operation systems. The goal is to continuously activate the endogenous development momentum of counterpart regions, empower the upgrade of east-west cooperation with high-quality consumption assistance, and ensure rural revitalization efforts are solidly and effectively advanced.
