With the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays approaching, new self-service luggage storage facilities have been launched across Guangzhou's public transport network. As of September 1, 48 smart storage lockers from Fengchao have been installed and put into operation at 29 core bus terminals, spanning major urban districts including Yuexiu, Tianhe, Haizhu, Liwan, and Baiyun, making travel significantly more convenient for passengers.
The newly deployed smart lockers are available at key locations such as Guangzhou Olympic Sports Center, Metro Gaozeng Station, Guangzhou Children's Park, Guangzhou Railway Station's Caonuan Park, and Guangzhou East Railway Station. These lockers come in small, medium, and large compartments to accommodate luggage of varying sizes, integrating three essential functions: self-service storage, courier dispatch, and online reservation. This creates a one-stop service system for storing, picking up, and sending items, all featuring simple operation and full self-service efficiency.
Passengers no longer need to wait in line for manual registration. Instead, they can simply scan a QR code via WeChat, the Fengchao mini-program, or Alipay to quickly store or retrieve their luggage and send parcels autonomously. To address peak holiday congestion and limited compartment availability, a dedicated online reservation feature enables users to check real-time availability, reserve a locker for a specific time slot in advance, and access the locker immediately upon arrival. This effectively reduces queue times during busy periods and greatly enhances travel efficiency.
The lockers are available 24 hours a day, catering to a wide range of scenarios, including daily commutes, holiday trips, and transit connections. One traveler commented, "During the holidays, carrying lots of luggage is a hassle. Now that bus terminals offer storage and courier services, a few taps on my phone handle everything—it's effortless and worry-free."
The 29 bus terminals equipped with these facilities include a comprehensive list across the city, ensuring broad coverage for both residents and visitors alike.
