GWMOTOR Repurchases 289,000 H Shares, Treasury Stock Climbs to 18.25 Million

Great Wall Motor Company Limited (GWMOTOR) disclosed that it bought back 289,000 H shares on 8 September 2026 via on-exchange transactions in Hong Kong.

The repurchases were executed at prices ranging from HKD 7.615 to HKD 7.63 per share, with a volume-weighted average cost of HKD 7.626, for a total cash consideration of HKD 2.20 million. All repurchased shares are being held as treasury shares.

Following the transaction, the company’s outstanding share count (excluding treasury shares) fell by 0.01% to 2.30 billion, while total issued shares remained unchanged at 2.32 billion. Treasury shares now stand at 18.25 million.

The buybacks form part of the mandate approved on 26 June 2026, which authorises repurchases of up to 230.77 million shares. To date, GWMOTOR has repurchased 18.25 million shares under this mandate, equivalent to 0.79% of the issued share capital as of the mandate date.

Under Hong Kong Stock Exchange rules, the company is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or disposing of treasury shares until 8 October 2026. GWMOTOR confirmed that all repurchases complied with the relevant listing rules and regulatory requirements.
