Urgent Fuel Price Adjustment Announced Amid Rising Oil Tensions

Since domestic refined oil prices were last adjusted on August 28, escalating US-Iran conflicts have driven a sustained surge in international crude oil prices. To mitigate the impact of rising global oil costs on the domestic market, temporary control measures on refined oil prices have been introduced while maintaining the existing pricing mechanism framework.

Based on the current pricing formula, gasoline and diesel (standard product) prices per tonne were slated to increase by 435 yuan and 420 yuan respectively on September 11. However, after implementing the temporary adjustments, the actual increases are now set at 260 yuan and 250 yuan per tonne.

Major oil enterprises including CNPC, Sinopec, and CNOOC, along with other crude processors, are instructed to organize refined oil production and transportation to ensure stable market supply and strictly comply with national pricing policies.

Local authorities are urged to strengthen market supervision and inspection efforts, cracking down on any violations of state pricing regulations to maintain orderly market operations. Consumers can report any pricing irregularities through the 12315 platform.

Attached is the maximum retail price list for gasoline and diesel across all provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities, and key cities, as published on the National Development and Reform Commission website.
