Japan's 40-Year Government Bond Yield Drops 7 Basis Points to 4.095%

Japanese long-dated government bonds are rallying as the central bank kicks off its two-day policy meeting today. The yield on the 40-year JGB has fallen 7 basis points to 4.095%.
Meanwhile, the 20-year bond yield also declined, shedding 2 basis points to reach 3.835%, reflecting a broad uptick in demand for longer-dated sovereign debt.
