Hengan International Group Company Limited announced a senior leadership reshuffle effective 9 September 2026.
Ms. Sze Siu Lai Sherry will relinquish her duties as the company’s Authorized Representative to The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong and under Part 16 of the Companies Ordinance. She will remain Company Secretary and confirmed no disagreement with the Board.
Mr. Li Wai Leung, aged 48, returns to Hengan International as Executive Director, Group Chief Financial Officer, and dual Authorized Representative. He is also appointed to the Environmental, Social and Governance Committee and the Share Incentive Committee.
Professional profile: • Over 25 years of accounting and finance experience. • Previously served Hengan International as Executive Director (since 17 March 2017) and CFO (since 26 March 2020) until March 2026. • Former senior manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers and CFO at several large PRC manufacturing firms. • Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Accounting and Finance) from the University of Hong Kong; fellow member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and CPA Australia, and member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. • Currently an Executive Director of Wang-Zheng Berhad and Independent Non-Executive Director of K W Nelson Interior Design and Contracting Group Limited.
Contract terms and remuneration: • Initial three-year service contract starting 9 September 2026, automatically renewable unless terminated with three months’ notice by either party. • Annual remuneration: HK$3.50 million, plus a discretionary year-end bonus based on individual and Group performance. • Subject to retirement by rotation and re-election under the Company’s Articles of Association.
Board composition post-changes: five Executive Directors, one Non-Executive Director and four Independent Non-Executive Directors. The Board expressed confidence that Mr. Li’s renewed leadership will further the Group’s strategic development.
