METIS TECHBIO-P (07666) saw its share price jump more than 8% during trading on Tuesday, before paring gains to trade up 5.32% at HK$13.86, with turnover reaching HK$27.43 million.

In the first half of this year, the company generated RMB 154 million in revenue, a staggering year-on-year increase of 13,339%, surpassing its total revenue for all of last year by 47%. Meanwhile, its adjusted net loss narrowed sharply by 56.4% to RMB 51.1 million.

During the period, the commercialization of its NanoForge platform entered a phase of intensive output, continuously earning dual validation from both global industry partners and capital markets. On June 30, the company announced an exclusive global licensing agreement with Boulevard Bio, backed by Deerfield, a leading global health investment and innovation platform. The deal, with a total value of up to US$1.6 billion, set a new record for the largest single upfront payment in a preclinical TCE licensing agreement from China.

Notably, Moderna's recent breakthrough in cancer vaccines has fueled interest in the AI+mRNA sector, and thanks to its mature mRNA technology and delivery platform, METIS TECHBIO-P is being regarded by the industry as the "Chinese version of Moderna." The company has already integrated the entire chain from AI-driven molecular design, RNA code optimization, and precise LNP delivery to accurate clinical implementation. Potential transaction values for related cutting-edge therapies have reached the RMB 6 billion level, and the company also plans to continuously expand its mRNA tumor vaccine pipeline, with commercialization growth likely to far exceed industry expectations.
