Shares of ABLE DIGITAL (02687) jumped more than 13% in the final stretch of Tuesday's trading session, last up 11.67% at HK$342.60 with turnover reaching HK$59.17 million.
The surge follows a recent notice from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's General Office, which launched a special initiative to cultivate AI application service providers. The directive explicitly encourages service providers to build Frontier Deployment Engineer (FDE) teams that embed themselves at client sites to ensure smooth scenario implementation.
Notably, this marks the first time the FDE model has appeared in a national-level AI industry policy document, signaling a clear strategic pivot: the sector's focus is shifting from pure technology development to real-world application delivery. The quality and efficiency of scenario deployment are now poised to determine whether the broader "AI Plus" strategy can take root and deliver tangible results.
The FDE framework represents a comprehensive engineering delivery system tailored for AI adoption in educational and research settings. As a knowledge-centric technology company deeply embedded in university and scientific research environments, ABLE DIGITAL stands as an early practitioner of this model, having already established a systematic FDE implementation methodology.
According to Guozheng International, ABLE DIGITAL's AI knowledge asset construction revenue for the first half of 2026 reached RMB 290 million, accounting for 89.7% of total revenue and representing a 17.0% year-over-year increase. This segment spans three product lines: knowledge graphs, digital resources, and physical AI virtual experiments. Among these, knowledge graphs remain the core growth engine, with their revenue contribution climbing from 54.7% to 59.0% of total revenue, while segment revenue grew 28.4% year-over-year.
