Great Wall Motor repurchases 0.78 million H-shares for HKD 5.91 million

Great Wall Motor Company Limited completed an on-market buyback of 777,000 H-shares on 9 September 2026, paying a total consideration of HKD 5.91 million. The shares were repurchased within a price range of HKD 7.575 to HKD 7.67 per share, with a volume-weighted average price of HKD 7.606.

Following the transaction, the company’s outstanding share count (excluding treasury shares) declined by 0.03 % to 2.30 billion, while treasury shares rose to 19.03 million. The total number of issued shares remained unchanged at 2.32 billion because the repurchased shares were retained as treasury stock rather than cancelled.

The buyback was executed under the mandate approved on 26 June 2026, which authorises the repurchase of up to 230.77 million shares. To date, Great Wall Motor has repurchased 19.03 million shares under this mandate, representing 0.82 % of the issued share capital as at the mandate date. In accordance with Hong Kong Stock Exchange rules, the company is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or disposing of treasury shares until 9 October 2026.
