Attention all vehicle owners in Zhejiang Province: a new fuel price hike is scheduled to take effect tonight at midnight.

The adjustment, which will occur at 24:00 on September 11th, marks the 18th fuel price revision of the year. In an effort to mitigate the domestic impact of rising international crude oil prices and to safeguard economic stability and the well-being of the public, temporary regulatory measures will be applied to domestic refined oil product prices within the existing pricing mechanism framework.

Calculations based on the current pricing system indicate that the standard-grade gasoline price should have increased by 435 yuan per tonne and diesel by 420 yuan per tonne. However, after the regulatory adjustment, the actual increases will be capped at 260 yuan per tonne for gasoline and 250 yuan per tonne for diesel. The National Development and Reform Commission will direct refined oil producers and distributors to maximize output and streamline transportation to guarantee stable market supply. Additionally, authorities will intensify market oversight and enforcement efforts, cracking down on illegal activities such as failure to implement national pricing policies, with the goal of maintaining market order and protecting consumer interests.
