President Donald Trump posted on X on September 3, accusing the media of "treasonous" inaccurate reporting on the U.S. military operation in Iran, claiming that the U.S. has "virtually unlimited amounts of Mid to High Grade Ammunition, far more than we could ever use for this, or for any other War." Trump stated that munitions production is at levels never seen before, with stockpiling for any contingency, and that sales to allies will soon resume.

Trump criticized the Biden administration for giving "far more Munitions away to Ukraine" than the U.S. used in Iran, calling it "Hundreds of Billions of Dollars" given to Ukraine and NATO free of charge, which Europe would have paid for if asked. He said the U.S. will now seek that money. Trump concluded: "Thank you for your attention to this matter."
