Greenland Holdings (SHA:600606) said its overdue debt surged to 33.0 billion yuan as of early September, with 1.14 billion yuan added from Aug. 20 to Sept. 2.
The real estate and infrastructure company also faced 942 new lawsuits totaling 3.37 billion yuan during the same period, mostly from construction, real estate and financial counterparties, according to a weekend filing with the Shanghai bourse.
Shares of the company were down 1% in recent trade.
