Special-purpose vehicle manufacturer Kyokuto Kaihatsu Kogyo (TYO:7226) said a system failure caused by unauthorized access occurred at its subsidiary, Nippon Trex, on Sept. 8.

At this time, there is no confirmed leakage of personal information or customer data to external parties, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Friday.

However, Nippon Trex has suspended internet-based procurement operations, its parts ordering system used by distributors, and email communications with customers and business partners.

Business operations are continuing through alternative means while the company investigates and works to restore the affected services.
