Sakana AI Inc., SCSK, and Sumitomo Corporation (TYO:8053) will enter into a comprehensive business alliance to transform the Japanese industry and solve social issues via AI usage, Sakana AI said in a Thursday release.

The three firms will jointly support clients from identifying AI use cases and evaluating technologies to implementation, effectiveness verification, and continued improvement, the release said.

Sakana AI will bring in its AI model development and AI-native business design expertise, while SCSK will handle system integration, security, and governance. Sumitomo, meanwhile, will use its broad business network to deploy AI solutions, it said.

Shares of Sumitomo Corporation fell nearly 2% in recent trade.
