Market Chatter: Austal Receives Offer From Wildcat Infrastructure to Acquire US Business

Austal (ASX:ASB) received a non-binding offer from Florida-based private investment firm Wildcat Infrastructure to acquire its US business, with the bid valuing Austal USA at $1.25 billion to $1.35 billion, The Australian's DataRoom reported Wednesday.

In August, the Australian shipbuilder received a conditional proposal from a unit of South Korea's Hanwha Group to acquire its US operations for an indicative enterprise value of up to $1.2 billion.

Austal and Wildcat did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
