Constellation Brands Says World Cup Helped Win Market Share

1527 ET - Constellation Brands Chief Executive Nick Fink says it was the biggest share gainer of any beer company during the World Cup. The beer brand gained nearly a full point of share during the tournament, Fink says during Barclays' consumer staples conference. Fink says he is hopeful the World Cup will have a long-term impact because it engaged a lot of younger shoppers that have historically been hesitant consumers. Gen Z consumers are starting to adopt Constellations' products more, despite being later to the beer industry than older generations, Fink says. Events like the World Cup "help bring people together in a post-COVID world and start to unlock that," he says.
