Crown Breaks Ground on Beverage Can Plant in India

Crown (CCK) has broken ground on its first beverage can plant in India, with operations to begin in H2 next year, the company said Friday.

The plant in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, will have two production lines with a capacity of about 2.2 billion aluminum cans per year, the company said.

Crown said it still expects full-year capital expenditures of about $550 million.
