Abdul El-Sayed, the Democratic nominee for Senate in Michigan, argued his Republican rival is out of touch with the issues most pertinent to voters as he responded to attacks made against him from the stage of the Republican convention in Dallas.

Speaking to reporters in Michigan, El-Sayed pointed out topics former Rep. Mike Rogers didn't mention in his speech earlier Thursday evening. "You know what he didn't mention? Gas. You know what else he didn't mention? Groceries. You know what else he didn't mention? Healthcare. You know what else he didn't mention? The tariff war. You know what else he didn't mention? The war in Iran." El-Sayed added: "Mike Rogers doesn't want to talk about the policies that he has to answer for with Daddy Trump."
