Amazon.com (AMZN) has elected cybersecurity veteran Kevin Mandia to its board of directors, the online retail company said Wednesday.
Mandia, who has more than 30 years of experience combating cyber threats across the public and private sectors, is the founder and chief executive of Armadin, Inc., an cybersecurity company, and the co-founder and general partner of Ballistic Ventures, a venture capital firm.
Mandia also founded and led Mandiant, which was acquired by Alphabet's (GOOG) Google in September 2022.
"His election reflects Amazon's commitment to having cybersecurity expertise at the Board level," the company said in a statement.
