Stellantis (STLA) intends to invest more than 1 billion euros ($1.16 billion) to build a new van at a factory in France as part of a larger overhaul of its European manufacturing operations, Bloomberg reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The company will upgrade an existing plant in Hordain, northern France, and invest in research and development elsewhere in the country to support production of the new vehicle, according to the report.

Stellantis did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
