Bank of America CEO Sparks Bank Stock Selloff with One Small Word

Bank of America stock was falling after CEO Brian Moynihan described what sales and trading revenue would be for the fiscal third quarter using one word: flat.
Other bank stocks were also falling after he made the comment at the Barclays Global Financial Services Conference on Monday.
"Sales and trading, it'll be one of the better three quarters we've ever had to be relatively flat to last year because last year was a big recovery from the second quarter," Moynihan said at the Barclays Global Financial Services Conference on Monday.
Shares of Bank America dropped 4.2% to $60.06 on Monday. Other bank stocks also took a hit. Citigroup dropped 3.5% and JP MorganChase declined 1.9%. Goldman Sachs stock fell 4.4%.
