Bell Canada (BCE) and the Government of Saskatchewan entered a non-binding memorandum of understanding to expand Bell AI Fabric in Saskatchewan with the phased development of up to 900 megawatts of additional capacity, with total capital investment potentially exceeding $50 billion, according to a statement Monday.

Under the expanded partnership, Bell AI Fabric will establish a head office of its national ecosystem in Saskatchewan, subject to the required commercial agreements, permits, approvals and environmental assessments, the statement said.

The proposed facilities, consistent with all Bell AI Fabric projects, will utilize closed-loop cooling technology that requires no municipal water, with development proceeding in phases as customer commitments are secured, the statement added.
