AstraZeneca (AZN) has received approval for the single-inhaler Trixeo Aerosphere in the European Union as a maintenance treatment for asthma in certain patients aged at least 12 years, the company said Wednesday.
The approval covers patients who are not adequately controlled by a combination of a medium dose inhaled corticosteroid and long-acting beta2-agonist, according to the company.
